I have two preschoolers at home so I'll definately be looking into that first book. It seems like it might be at my girls' speed. Thanks for the head's up Alan! :)
If you can find a copy of "Really Rosie" by Maurice Sendack and Carole King, you'll see more Sendack gems . . . Alligators All Around is there too. If you're really lucky you can get the animated version (the book came later), which has many of these gems set to music by Carole King.
i'm going to have to check those books out! i think that my youngest child, who loves "where the wild things are", might enjoy the "alligators all around". besides, i'm a huge fan of children's picture books!
